Service content for SEO, AEO and AI search

Answer customer questions clearly while giving search and answer systems accurate information about your services.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Begin with useful, accessible service content: explain the offer, audience, deliverables and next step. Google says its existing SEO practices remain relevant to its AI search features; there is no separate special markup required for inclusion.

01

Explain the offer before adding search terms

A visitor should be able to tell whether the service matches their situation. Open with a direct explanation, then cover who it helps, what is included and how the work is scoped. Use specific headings and straightforward answers. Repeating a location or a keyword does not replace the information someone needs to make a decision.

  • Describe what the service actually delivers.
  • Answer common questions about scope and inputs.
  • Make the contact or project-brief route easy to find.
02

Use examples that can be checked

A real project can show the challenge, the approach and the delivered work. If you report a result, explain the measurement period and its source. Label fictional demonstrations as concepts. Clear evidence helps a customer assess the claim; invented metrics and testimonials undermine that assessment.

  • Separate concept work from commissioned work.
  • Publish only approved client material.
  • Provide context for any measured result.
03

Connect the content and technical foundations

Give each important page a descriptive title, a useful summary and crawlable links. Keep structured data accurate and consistent with visible content. A service guide can link to an appropriate example, a related service and a contact page. The purpose is a useful information journey, rather than a large volume of similar pages.

  • Check titles, canonical URLs and internal links.
  • Make important content available as readable text.
  • Ensure the page works comfortably on mobile.
04

Measure discovery separately from enquiries

Search impressions, visits, contact-page views and completed enquiries are different stages. A contact-page visit does not establish that a message was sent. Review relevant queries and useful customer actions over time, then improve pages where the information or next step is unclear. Rankings and AI citations remain decisions made by search platforms.

  • Distinguish interest from a completed enquiry.
  • Review questions the page still leaves unanswered.
  • Avoid guaranteed ranking or AI-citation promises.
